Welcome everyone! This class is themed around works produced since the year 2000 in various genres and formats (including fiction and non-fiction). Students will be learning how skilled readers navigate texts of different types while completing a reading journal that covers ELA 1 skills. The performance task is to create a text analysis of a text of their choice, which provides opportunities for ELA 2, 3 (depending on how they research) and 4.
